Day 1: Cancun
Cancún
Arrival at Cancún airport and transfer to hotel Fairfield Downtown Cancun or similar and accommodation.
Day 2: Valladolid
Cancun - Ek Balam - Valladolid
Breakfast and departure to Valladolid, a typical colonial city of Yucatan. Visit the city center with the white cathedral, the local market and, walking on its colonial streets, we will arrive at the famous convent of San Bernardino. Continuation to the mayan ruins of Ek Balam, where you will have the pleasure of climbing your first Mayan pyramid. If we have time we will stop at a cenote, called X’Canche. In the afternoon we will come back to Valladolid and check in at the Meson del Marques Hotel or similar.
Day 3: Merida
Valladolid - Chichen Itza - Izamal - Merida
Breakfast and departure for the visit of one of the seven world wonders: Chichen Itza. Continuations to Izamal, a colonial city known for its charming Convent and its streets all painted by yellow. In the afternoon arrived in Merida, the famous White City, named for its white and colonial buildings and capital of the Yucatán. Check in at the La Mision de Fray Diego hotel or similar and overnight.
Day 4: Merida
Merida - Celestun - Merida
Breakfast and departure to Celestún, a natural reserve with its famous mangroves and pink flamingos. After the excursion by boat, free time to have lunch (not included) at the beach. In the afternoon we will come back to Merida where you can visit the Zócalo, the Cathedral, the palace of government, the municipal palace and the House of Montejo.
Day 5: Campeche
Merida - Cenotes - Uxmal - Campeche
Breakfast and departure to San Antonio de Mulix to have a refreshing bath in one of the many cenotes of the area and where you can meet some indigenous community of Yucatan. In the afternoon visit to Uxmal, one the most important mayan ruins and continuation to Campeche, a lovely city still closed and fortified with towers and walls, which retains its strong colonial. Lodging at the Hotel Francis Drake or similar.
Day 6: Chicanna
Campeche - Calakmul
Departure to Calakmul. (4H30 trip). Calakmul, just in the middle of the jungle, is a majestic mayan ruin, one of the most important for mayan history. Continuation to Chicanná and lodging at the Hotel Chicanna Ecovillage or similar.
Day 7: Bacalar
Chicanna - Bacalar Lagoon
Breakfast and departure to Bacalar, the famous lagoon of the seven colors. Here you will admire its seven (and more) shades of blue and have free time to enjoy the lagoon. Lodging at the Rancho Encantado Hotel or similar.
Day 8:
Bacalar Lagoon - Tulum - Riviera Maya
Breakfast and some free time in the morning, then departure to Tulum and visit to the only mayan ruin situated in front of the caribbean sea. At the end of the visit continuation to the Riviera Maya to the selected hotel (not included) and end of the tour.
