2. Niagara Falls
Stay
About the destination: Niagara Falls, Ontario, is the self-proclaimed "Honeymoon Capital of the World." For hundreds of years the grandeur of the Falls of the Niagara River have attracted many to this destination. Niagara Falls is also considered by some to be one of the most romantic places in the world. Mainly a tourist destination, the main attraction has always been Niagara Falls, which brings hundreds of thousands of tourists to the city. Visitors seeking natural settings are finding the Niagara River to be a great place to hike and visit downstream from the Falls where the majority of visitors go. Most visitors' first view of the Falls, from the Canadian side of the river, is at Queen Victoria Park, along the Niagara Falls Parkway. This grand, royal garden provides the perfect vantage point for experiencing both the nightly illumination of the Falls and the summer fireworks displays. The Falls are illuminated, every evening until approximately midnight and there are Fireworks over the Falls, Friday and Sunday nights in the summer months. Other attractions worth visiting are the Skylon Tower, the Niagara Parks Botanical Gardens and the Floral Clock.

3. Ottawa
Stay
About the destination: Ottawa is the capital of Canada, and the fourth largest city in the country. Ottawa is situated on the south bank of the Ottawa River, and contains the mouths of the Rideau River and Rideau Canal. The older part of the city, including what remains of Bytown, is known as Lower Town, and occupies an area between the canal and the rivers. A must see for all visitors to Ottawa is the Parliament building. It is undoubtedly among the most beautiful parliament buildings in the world. Now part of a hotel, Chateau Laurier retains much of its grandeur. Inside this famous Ottawa landmark you'll find luxurious settings and ornate décor. Constructed in the 19th century, the beautiful Notre Dame Basilica is among the surviving churches of Ottawa. Take a tour in the Supreme Court of Canada building, enjoy its impressive marble Grand Entrance Hall and its exquisite Art Deco architecture. A UNESCO world heritage site, the Rideau Canal offers excellent views of the city. In winter time, it's transformed into a massive skating rink. There are also two notable museums, the National Gallery of Canada, and the Canadian Museum of Civilization. Canada's capital city could hardly be lovelier. Dynamic, gregarious, bilingual, the city has festivals, parks, theatres, museums, restaurants, shops and enough sights to fulfil the expectations of even the most demanding visitor.

4. Trois-Rivières
Stay
About the destination: Trois-Rivières is the second-oldest city in Quebec, founded in 1634. It lies almost half-way between Montreal and Quebec City and can make a nice stopover on travel between those two cities. The main sight in Trois-Rivières is the old city or vieille-ville, concentrated by the river along rue des Ursulines. It's far smaller than those of Montreal or Quebec, but picturesque in a low-key way and worth a stroll. Trois-Rivières is a perfect stop halfway between Quebec City and Montreal. Right along the scenic St. Lawrence River, there are plenty of photo opportunities, historical points of interest and great dining

6. Quebec
Stay
About the destination: Situated on the banks of the St. Lawrence River, Quebec is a town with good looks and an undeniable French flair. It's got all the attractions you can think of, museums, arts and culture, sports, the great outdoors and it is the only city in North America with its original city walls. Quebec City's main sight is the Old Town, known as Haute-Ville, which is surrounded by a stone wall built by both French and British armies. The Citadelle is the largest British fortress in North America. At 10 in the morning is when the changing of the guard ceremony takes place. The absolutely beautiful Chateau Frontenac is a Quebec City icon. Terrasse Dufferin is a Boardwalk situated alongside the Chateau Frontenac and offers a great view of the St. Lawrence River. Quartier Petit Champlain is a neighbourhood located in the Old Lower Town. It is quite picturesque, especially when viewed from the Breakneck Stairs. The narrow cobbled streets are lined with small shops and cafes. It's a really fun neighbourhood to explore with a camera in hand. The Basilica Notre Dame de Quebec is the oldest church in the Americas north of Mexico. The Museum of Civilization is a great place to learn about the Aboriginal peoples of Quebec. One can't come to Quebec City and not catch a street performance. The city celebrates its performers and you'll often find acts taking place in the town square and parks. Grab a seat for some live entertainment and don't forget to leave a tip at the end.

Stay
About the destination: Montreal is the metropolis of the province of Quebec. Quebec City is the political capital but Montreal is the cultural and economic capital of Quebec and the main entry point to the province. Rich in culture, Montreal is big enough to have many great activities and small enough to be friendly and welcoming. Each part of the city is of interest: the old-port for the old French city; Downtown for all the shopping and clubbing; Plateau Mont-Royal for the French restaurants and boutiques and the Lafontaine park; Quartier Latin for the French shows, cinemas and restaurants; Little Italia for the Jean-Talon market and of course its delicious restaurants; Mile-End for its excellent cafes; Hochelaga-Maisonneuve for the Maisonneuve park, the Botanic Garden, the Biodome and the Olympic stadium; Ste-Helene and Notre-Dame islands for quiet and peace; and the great Mont-Royal htat offers ski rental and the best ski conditions. Dubbed the Paris of Canada, Montreal has a superb architecture, including the breathtaking Basilique Notre-Dame. A rich, almost European, culture transcending city, Montreal is a must see.
