Huntington Beach, founded in 1909, is a city in Orange County, in the US state of California. His name honors the memory of Henry E. Huntington, an American businessman, railroad magnate and collector of art and rare books. The city borders the Pacific Ocean to the west, Sal Beach to the north, Costa Mesa to the south, Westminster to the northeast and Fountain Valley to the east. The city is known for its beach (13.7 km) and for its excellent conditions for surfing. The waves have a unique natural effect, due to the currents that arrive from Santa Catalina Island.
